The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, charged administrators to discharge their responsibilities as unto God at the annual International Conference of RCCG Administrators held at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, between 1st and 3rd April 2019.
The three-day event with the theme; Think Global, Act Local was attended by 762 administrative officers and computer secretaries from Regions, Provinces and Departments of the RCCG within and outside Nigeria.
Addressing the participants, Pastor Adeboye said “I want you to know that, it is not by accident that God made you an Administrator. God will put you in a position to know who you really are and to do your work as unto Him.” He further mentioned that the job of an administrator is a dangerous one as some do the job and divinely get promoted while some do it and die prematurely. Concluding, he admonished anyone who had connived with his superior to restitute his/her way because no one can tell when the Owner of life can call for it.
The National Overseer, Pastor J.O Obayemi opined in his keynote address that every enterprise in this world is faced with the challenges of maintaining its originality and personal identity while commanding global relevance. He advised the administrators to strive constantly to improve themselves, adapt their local space to fit into modern trends and have a positive mindset.
Speaking on: Organizational Sustainability, Pastor E.A Odeyemi, the Assistant General Overseer (Education and Training) mentioned that organizational sustainability requires future thinking and continuous improvement. He asserted that for any organisation to sustain its existence, it needs to design a simple process of handling tasks, build on its strengths, acknowledge excellent staff and have innovative ideas and good networking system.
The Assistant General Overseer (Admin & Personnel), Pastor J.F Odesola, in his welcome address, stated that technology is fast replacing many procedures and processes. “To remain relevant in the scheme of things, there is a need to be IT compliant and adopt new technological innovations that would make things easier, better, faster and cheaper” he said.
Talking on: Leveraging on Diversity, Mrs. Eyono Fatai- Williams, said diversity is what helps the organization to reach the entire world. She encouraged the administrators to recognise the elements of diversity in their stations.
Other speakers include Pastor J. O. Adeyokunnu, Pastor Sola Adewole, Mr. David Adetona, Mr. Leye Adewusi and representatives from Cornerstone insurance among others.
Other highlights were; induction of 56 administrators into National Institute of Management, football matches, table tennis, chess and scrabble competitions, free medical and dental check and gala night.
Senior Administrators from United Kingdom, North America, Regions and Provinces were also in attendance.
