The theme for the May Holy Ghost Service, Born to Win is a declarative statement to all children of God to know and understand what they were born to be and to become.
Discovering one’s purpose allows one to focus and define his goal properly. Identifies and utilizes his potentials to accomplish his life objectives. Born to win is to call our attention to the fact that we all have within us the seeds of greatness and the potential to create and sustain the world. In the words of Thomas Edison, an American inventor and businessman, “if we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.” As we focus on what it means to be born to win, it is our prayers that the Spirit of God will wake us up into being what we were made to be.
On the sermon page of this edition, Pastor E.A. Adeboye writes on Divine Strategies to Breakthroughs. He pointed out that there are strategies for breakthroughs. In his words, “Breaking through to your next level is going to require some struggles but the struggles will be easy if you go about it strategically.” The sermon is loaded and you cannot afford to miss it.
The Bible exhorts us to train our children the way to go and when they grow up they would not deviate from it. The parents of 9-year old Ogo-Oluwa Adeniyi are training him to study the word of God and meditate on it even from his young age. During the special Holy Ghost service for children in April 2018, Ogo-Oluwa recited the longest Chapter in the Bible, Psalm 119 and to the admiration of everyone at the April 2019 edition, he recited Hebrews Chapter 1 to 7.
