Is it true that I am still single because I refuse pre-marital sex?

I will encourage you to not be ashamed or to think that there is something wrong with you

Answer: Thank you for this question.

It is indeed tougher today than it was in our time to maintain sexual purity; we hear that nowadays even Christians insist on sampling to be sure. I ask to be sure of what?

Not minding what is happening around us in the world, the word of God is still sure and honouring the Lord is the best way to go. Many have traded their virginity because they have no understanding of the strength of covenants.

The strongest covenant you can make with another person is the blood covenant, is it any wonder then that God designed the woman such that the very first sexual experience results to a spilling of blood to activate the covenant? A wise person will be careful who they enter into such a covenant with.

Beyond the Bible, research has proven that those who get married as virgins have better marriages. “Contrary to conventional wisdom, when it comes to sex, less experience is better, at least for the marriage,” said W. Bradford Wilcox, a sociologist and senior fellow at the Institute for Family Studies.

I will encourage you to not be ashamed or to think that there is something wrong with you, wait on the Lord and the spouse that will respect and honour you will come along your way sooner than later.

I am out of school, I have even done my Master’s and I am still jobless, what do I do?

Great question too. Thank you.

The unemployment situation in our country has reached alarming levels, the statistics are dire and unless something is done pretty soon, we may have a big mess on our hands, the recent mob action though misplaced is an indication of what can happen.

To get a job in today’s Nigeria you need a fine mix of faith, knowledge and tenacity. Faith because the just shall live by faith and God is still in the business of doing the impossible. So, no matter what you have been through, I want you to have faith that God will make a way for you.

How much information do you have regarding the job you are looking for, what are the skill sets required, are there opportunities to make an inroad via volunteering or internship etc. While waiting for employment is there opportunity for self improvement?

Have you considered starting a business of your own; are there opportunities for you to partner with a friend to start something? Are you aware that Government at both Federal and State levels are putting money into entrepreneurship?

Unfortunately, the few bad eggs amongst us have given a bad name to online business but not all online business is “419” there are many legitimate businesses that you can do online, take out time to research them.

I am aware that some Western agencies as part of their efforts to stem irregular migration are funding programmes to give employment and employability skills to Nigerians, are you aware of these initiatives?

The dictionary defines Tenacity as the quality or fact of being very determined; be determined that you will not give up until you experience your breakthrough.

I pray God will indeed make a way for you in Jesus name.
