The following excerpts of Remarks made by Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, concerning Pastor Akindele, during the latter’s 70th Birthday Celebrations in February 2013, speak a whole Volume: “…the Redeemed Christian Church of God owes Pastor Akindele a depth of gratitude. If this young man had compromised with the devil, the Redeemed Christian Church of God would not be where it is today. So we owe him a lot, not only because he stood firm during the transition period but in those early days, he was practically my right hand; my Secretary, Treasurer, Accountant, and my body guard… I wish there were people who obey instructions absolutely like this young man. That is why he is so special” [P23, Redemption Light Vol 23 No. 09, November 2018].
Awesome Testimonial! Absolute obedience, humility, connection with God and dedicated Walk with Him, loyalty, devotion to duty, firmness and strength of character; living for Christ, Being Kingdom-Minded and being outspoken about the Gospel of Jesus Christ., dominion over pain, anxiety, fear, and discontentment are all crucial lessons of character to be learnt by all of us younger Redeemites, from the Life and Times of Pastor Akindele, Saint-Triumphant, reminiscent of the ministry and teachings of that Apostle of Holiness, Missionary, Prophet, and Visionary Pastor, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer, the Redeemed Christian of God. The believer is never alone. The Bible records over 100 angelic appearances; moreover, angels are sent from heaven to the earth in order to protect the household of faith- the believer. For the Bible tells us in Psalm 34:7 that the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear Him. WHAT HAPPENS WHENEVER A SAINT IS CALLED HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD?
We are taught that it all happens in a heartbeat; the departure of the Saint is absolutely peaceful, restful, and without any regret whatsoever, for the Saint is ushered into New Jerusalem and the Throne Room and Lord’s presence by Angels on Assignment, one minute after the Saint had passed on. The Holy City, New Jerusalem, is said to come down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband (Revelation 21:1-2). The transition into heaven will be made without a break in consciousness. All who die in Christ will meet Christ on one-on-one, and be introduced to the company of the redeemed.
Death is actually powerless. According to one Erwin Lutzer, rather than make us lose our wealth, death introduces us to Riches Eternal. In exchange for poor health, death gives us a right to the Tree of Life that is for the “Healing of the Nations” (Revelation 22:2). That is the reason Christ exhorted in Matthew 10:28, “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” For example, the body might, temporarily, be invaded by cancer or disease agents, or by evil men, or by evil assassins; but these enemies and invaders cannot prevent only one soul from going to God [One Minute After You Die By Erwin W. PRAYER POINT: Father God, Send the Full Comfort of the Holy Spirit to the entire family, household, and loved ones of departed Pastor J. A. O. Akindele, as well as the entire Redeemed Family worldwide. Keep us as members of your household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus as the Chief Cornerstone, as in Ephesians 2:19-20, in Jesus’ Matchless Name.
