Promise of a Thousand Times Blessings

Through wisdom is an house built and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increases strength. [Proverbs 24:3-5] KJV

I have noticed that the fact that you are a believer who is ever so faithful in prayer and fasting, always in church, giving the required minimal offering, and serving the Lord according to what is required does not guarantee that you shall live an extraordinary or supernatural life. You have to go the extra mile to experience the supernatural. Many have served the Lord for years on end without making any effort to seek to know what it will take to transform their lives from the ordinary to the extraordinary in Christ.

After serving the Lord as a minister of God for several years, I took it upon myself to search the mind of God through prayers to know what a believer has to do to break loose into the abundant blessing of God even in this age. In my research, the Lord took me to a scripture where He showed me that there is a pronouncement and a promise of a thousand blessings. That is to say, God can multiply you a thousand times more than you are now.

The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!         [Deuteronomy 1:11]

It is conclusive that at some specific time during the moments God talked to Moses, or in the covenant of God with the Israelites, God had promised to bless the children of Israel, even before their sojourn in Egypt, that He will pour on them a blessing in multiples of thousands.

The pronouncement does not indicate that the blessing was to multiply them as a people or increase them in multiples prosperity of thousands only. However, one thing is clear: the blessing was an all-encompassing one in every way and manner. God blessed the Israelites in a thousand times multiplication over and over even before they entered Canaan. A simple example is their journey to Canaan. The sandals they wore on the day they left Egypt never wore out, and their clothes never needed replacement for 40 years. Is that physically possible without God’s intervention?

Another amazing thing is that they left Egypt with riches in gold and jewelries. God put an anointing on them so  much so that when they ALL (every single one of them) went to borrow the gold and jewelry from the Egyptians, they were ALL very successful in acquiring the said jewelries. If  anyone had coveted more gold, all he had to do was continue to ask till his bags were full and the special favor will yet cause him to be successful in that venture. They left Egypt  as rich people. They had so much gold that when Moses was building the tabernacle and he called for an offering from the Israelites, they gave until he had to restrain them. You must understand that the ‘blessings of God’ means wealth and riches, breakthroughs, divine health, prosperity at home and at work, a house full of children, long life, honor, respect, fulfillment of purpose, the unchallenged grace of God upon every area of life, the approval of God as you please Him, a wall of protection from God against the enemy, and a life at peace with friends and even enemies.
