Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance” are so relevant and applicable to Nigeria and Nigerians as the country marked her 59th independent anniversary on Tuesday October 1, 2019. This passage, while reflecting the pains and helplessness of the present reflects confidence in a tomorrow full of glory and goodness.
There is a palpable feeling of hopelessness and discouragement in the land but to those who can discern, the God-factor is available to make a change.
In this regard, we align with the words of our beloved Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, and Nigeria’s former leader, Dr. Yakubu Gowon that glorious days are still ahead for the nation. Our reverred Emeritus Professor, Michael Omolewa, in this edition provides some historical briefs on Nigeria’s journey so far and concluded that if we will pray as God expects, there will be healing for the land. We feature all these in this edition in celebration of Nigeria’s independence anniversary.
On the sermon page, our General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye writes on Carriers of His Glory. What a topic for a month when the Youths of the Mission are holding their annual Convention which has the theme: His Power and Glory.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has continued to affect lives in various communities through several life-enhancing intervention projects. His Love Foundation, the CSR agency of the Mission, features in this edition, some of the efforts of the Mission in improving lives of the people.
