You are Important

As tiny as the dot on letter i may be, it is very important because, without it, many may not be able to recognize the alphabet and thus misplace it for letter l in a lower case.

Again, as minute as the slash on letter t is, it is very significant because it may be mistaken for letter l.
As individuals, we sometimes develop this feeling that we are not important in the schemes of event in our families, organizations, schools and the world at large. Well, that is a misconception and a misnomer for anyone who wants to go far in life and rise above limits.
This is because, once an individual comes to a wrong conclusion that he/she is not significant in any environment, then, it is the beginning of a great problem. This is because, before long, the person develops an attitude and low self esteem sets in and gets full blown in a short while.
According to Maxwell Maltz, Low self-esteem is like driving through life with your hand-brake on. This simply means something is holding back the car from moving freely as it should and before long it may damage the car. Low self esteem not only reduces individuals, it brings about low productivity whenever it shows up.

Apart from low productivity, low self esteem brings about a closed mouth and you know what? A closed mouth is a closed destiny. Anyone battling with low self esteem will not speak where valid contributions are needed. The person believes his/her idea will never amount to anything and so, recluses to the shell of silence and keeps sealed lips.

It is lack of confidence that brings about low self esteem. Henry Giles said Esteem cannot be where there is no confidence, and there can be no confidence where there is no respect. The Bible revealed that Apostle Paul went about the business of the gospel with confidence. Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. Acts 28:31. It was settled in Apostle Paul that he was an important person and he did what he had to do with dignity. As a result he was not afraid to stand before the strong and the mighty to profess Christ.
Enough of walking with our heads bowed and digesting castigations by people who do not see any good in us. It does not matter if you are not the first born in your family, you are still important. Even if you did not lead your class, your performance is still significant as long as there is the urge or hunger to get better or do better than what you did.

Oh! You may not be son or daughter of the president but you are still very important because God has a purpose for your life. So, rise up and fulfil the purpose for which you were created and you will discover that you are important. I want you to know that the fact that you are not where you think you should be does not make you lesser mortal. It is just a matter of time and you will get to your destination.

You are important because the Bible says you are fearfully and wonderfully made. God took time to create you so nobody can call you inferior or useless. Its your season of turn around so rise up and take your place. You are important your Excellency!
